A Gentle Structure
A Prayer Journal Template
You Can Actually Keep
Most prayer journals fail because they ask for too much. A good prayer journal template is simple enough to use on a tired Tuesday — a few quiet prompts, repeated daily, with room to look back and see what God has done.
The four parts of each daily page
Verse
One short passage of Scripture at the top of the page — the prayer begins with the Word, not with a blank line.
Gratitude
Two or three lines to name what you're thankful for. Small and specific is better than grand and general.
Prayer
A generous space for the day's requests, worries, and hopes — written plainly, as you'd say them.
Surrender
A closing line to release the day: what you're placing in God's hands before you move on.
Keep it printable, keep it repeatable
A template only works if you can return to it. Print one page per day, keep an answered-prayers log beside it, and set aside a weekly page to look back. Seven days of that rhythm is enough to feel the difference — and simple enough to begin again the next week.
